Agent signup

Let your agent get you a key

Short answerAn agent can create a Free FanDuel API account for you and receive its key, but only after you approve it from your own inbox. Nothing is created and no key is issued without your click.

FanDuel API is an independent data service operated by FF API Inc. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by FanDuel.

How it works

  1. Your agent asks

It sends POST https://fanduelapi.com/api/v1/agent/signup with your email, what you are building and which sports matter. It should ask you for these, never guess.

  2. You get one email

FanDuel API emails you a link and a short code. Open it, check the code matches what your agent shows, and approve. For a new email that creates your Free account, with no card, and saves your answers. If the email already has an account, you sign in to it first and approve there; the link alone never adds a key to an existing account.

  3. Your agent collects the key

It polls POST https://fanduelapi.com/api/v1/agent/token with its device_code and receives the key exactly once. It should store it as FANDUEL_API_KEY. You can see and revoke it in the dashboard.

Limits

  • At most 5 signups an hour from one network (an IPv6 /64 counts as one), 3 a day for one mailbox (+tags and Gmail dots count as the same), and 120 an hour in all.
  • Disposable and throwaway email domains are refused.
  • An approval link works once and expires after 30 minutes.
  • New accounts start on Free. Paid plans are chosen by you, at checkout; an existing account keeps its plan, and the agent is told which.

For agents

Start
curl -X POST https://fanduelapi.com/api/v1/agent/signup \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"email":"<your user's email>","use_case":"Prop model","sports":"NBA","agent":"<your name>"}'
Then poll every 5 seconds
curl -X POST https://fanduelapi.com/api/v1/agent/token \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"device_code":"<device_code>"}'

The same flow is on the MCP server as start_signup and finish_signup, with no key.
