FanDuel bonus bet and no-sweat value calculator
Compare cash wagers, stake-not-returned bonus bets and loss-triggered bonus credits using your own offer terms. A bonus win pays face value times decimal odds minus one. A loss-triggered credit has a separate expected redemption value; it is not a cash refund. Probabilities are your assumptions, not predictions.

Show the working
Modeled expected net cash
p × win-state net + (1 − p) × loss-state expected net. Modeled EV is nonnegative at or above 33.3333% initial win probability.
Net cash if initial bet wins
Cash stake × (decimal − 1)
Expected net if initial bet loses
−cash stake + conditional expected credit value
Credit face value on an eligible loss
min(cash stake × credit rate, credit cap); this is not cash
Conditional expected credit cash value
credit face × (redemption decimal − 1) × conditional redemption win probability × chance credit is issued and used
Break-even initial win probability
Modeled EV is nonnegative at or above 33.3333% initial win probability.
Formula and worked example
EV = p × win-state net cash + (1 − p) × loss-state expected net cash. Bonus winnings = face × (decimal − 1).
A $100 cash wager at +100 with 50% assumed win probability has $0 EV. If an eligible loss issues a $100 bonus, used at +100 with a conditional 50% chance of winning and 100% issuance/use probability, modeled EV is $25; the loss state still averages −$50.
| Default example output | Value |
|---|---|
| Modeled expected net cash | $25 |
| Net cash if initial bet wins | $100 |
| Expected net if initial bet loses | $-50 |
| Credit face value on an eligible loss | $100 |
| Conditional expected credit cash value | $50 |
| Break-even initial win probability | 33.3333% |
Inputs are hypothetical, not an available offer. Check opt-in, eligibility, maximum credit, expiry, eligible markets and settlement. No pushes, voids, taxes, mixed funding or repeated rewards are modeled. A positive expected value is not guaranteed profit.

Bonus credit is not a cash refund
FanDuel’s bonus-bet guidance distinguishes winnings-only bonus stakes from cash and site credit. This tool models a bonus-only stake or a cash-only stake, not a mixture. Its rewards overview now calls the former No Sweat reward Bet Reset. No current offer, eligibility, reimbursement cap or redemption price is assumed.
For a loss-triggered credit, its face value is capped before calculating the later expected cash winnings. The initial cash loss remains part of the result. Redemption probability is conditional on that loss; no independence between the two wagers is required by this input model.
With a $100 bonus at +200, a $10 acquisition cost and a 50% win assumption, win-state net cash is $190, loss-state net cash is −$10 and EV is $90. Break-even is 5%. This does not value other uses of the bonus or recommend a wager.
The optional equal-result hedge assumes two exhaustive opposite outcomes, accepted quoted prices and matching settlement. It ignores voids, pushes, deductions and execution changes, and can produce a negative modeled result. Do not treat it as a guaranteed return.
